Just as its name suggests, the Superior Hiking Trail is the most excellent hiking trail in the Midwest and tops the list of the ten most beautiful hiking trails in the
United States. The Superior Hiking Trail extends for 205 miles and is located at the Superior National Forest and the trails lays on both private and public lands. The trail begins on Duluth, Minnesota and ends on Grand Marais, Minnesota just a behind the Canadian border. Along the way you will pass through seven state parks and you will get to see Lake Superior.
The trails are under the supervision of the Superior Hiking Trail volunteers. The
views are extraordinary and the location is well-maintained thanks to the volunteers. Prepare yourself to behold the magnificence of scenic spots such as the
Sawtooth Mountains, numerous waterfalls, and lively forests with abundant wildlife. There is a section in the trail called the "section 13." It's about a three mile gap from the trail and is actually a trail in itself as well. The Superior Hiking Trail is a great escape from the noisy and busy city life. If you want to plan a day-hike or a weekend camping, I highly recommend going to this place.
